Like everyone else on every IEgif form post on the internet I couldnt get the loading spinner to spin in IE and in my case validatesubmit the form. And then using JavaScript to toggle the visibility of the div after a short delay this is using an older version of the Prototype library but you get the idea. It had an added layer of fun in that the same onsubmit had to run a validator to make sure the form was correct.
